PRODUCT EXAMPLES
Glass microfluidic components allow accurate processing and control of liquids in sub microlitre quantities.
Micro and nano channels (0.5-500 µm) are etched into the surface of a glass sheet. Metal electrodes can be deposited on the glass, enabling detection and high voltage applications.
Two or more glass sheets are directly bonded on to each other, creating a sealed assembly. Inlet and outlet ports allow liquid flow to be controlled in the microfluidic device.
Examples include:
High process yield and selectivity. High surface to volume ratio creates excellent mass and heat transfer possibilities
By plug injection, very small volumes of fluid can be injected into the chip electrophoresis column, yielding optimal resolution
Very short mixing times and ideal mixing conditions, even at low pressures
High accuracy powder blasting of holes and wells
